When I first heard that Danger Mouse and James Mercer (of The Shins, for you uneducaties out there) were forming a two man band, I kind of teared up. Honestly, I didn't really believe it until I heard High Road for the first time. Now, I don't really throw the phrase "musical genius" around very often. I mean, in this day and age, not too many people can catch my ear the way they should. Danger Mouse happens to be on that list. And James happens to be one of the best songwriters I can think of. Those two together...ORGASMO! Thank God for 2010. Between Gorillaz, Cudi, Broken Bells, and a long list of other releases, it'll be a great year for my ipod. I'm PURCHASING everything I just listed btw lol.
